In Freetown, rain is the leading cause of death among people experiencing homelessness — because they lack proper shelter and protection.

From May to October, the rainy season becomes a nightmare. Without cover, lives are lost painfully each year. Homelessness is already a death trap. The rain makes it worse.

For 7 years, SWSL has run the Tarpaulin & Raincoat Campaign to reduce deaths and ease suffering. We give people the protection they need to survive.

Protecting life is a moral obligation. For us as social workers, it’s a professional duty too. Together, we can save lives. That’s what this campaign is about — partnering to protect.

So we raising $2,500 as the goal!

Your donation buys tarpaulins + raincoats for 100 of the most vulnerable: elderly, persons with disabilities, and single mothers experiencing homelessness.

Together we promote dignity for everyone. We’re local, we’re committed to make people experiencing homelessness feel seen, loved and cared for. Thank you for your kindness and compassion. Kindly donate here:https://www.paypal.me/liftavillage
